Although Emily has enjoyed practicing yoga since she was a teenager, it wasn’t until college in the DC area, that she began to explore a variety of yoga styles. While still in college she completed a mini teacher-training course through YogaFit and was amazed by the joy and energy she was filled with when sharing yoga with others. Years later, with yoga having persisted as a positive and grounding force in Emily’s life, she decided to work towards her 200-hour yoga teacher training through the Pittsburgh-based, Yoga Flow.
Besides the obvious physical benefits, Emily relies on her yoga practice to clear her mind and lighten her spirit. Emily’s classes focus on challenging yourself to find your edge physically and mentally, while at the same time, having the skill to modify your practice to respect your present state.
In her free time and summers, Emily enjoys hiking, biking, dancing, and spending quality time with her adored niece and nephew.
